COLLAGE - Jackie Stewart's Grand Prix Album
COLLAGE is Jackie Stewart's chronicle of an incredible motor racing career: photographs, press cuttings, pit passes, memorabilia bring to life a halcyon decade in Formula One.
Historic Car Art is proud to have been selected as one of the few exclusive outlets for this fabulous limited edition book.
COLLAGE is winning positive reviews all over the world. From The Times of India which calls the Formula One album "lavish" to London, The Daily Express yesterday described the work as "magnificent", before predicting, "It will soon become a collector's item."
Motorsport News concludes, "This is a sumptuous book that offers a real insight into both Stewart's career and the development of motorsport through the years."
Only 1,500 copies of COLLAGE will ever be created. Each numbered book is traditionally leather-bound by hand, and individually signed by the motor racing legend himself, Sir Jackie Stewart.
Those wishing to order a copy through Historic Car Art will also have the opportunity to make their copy absolutely unique with an original sketch by a leading artist on one of the opening pages.
Jackie Stewart's chronicle of an incredible motor racing career is told through the archive of the Stewart family albums. Unseen photographs, press cuttings, pit passes and memorabilia bring to his historic decade in Formula One racing.
Originally compiled by Sir Jackie's wife, Lady Helen Stewart, the albums began in the early Sixties with a few press cuttings. They grew to 17 volumes that come to peak in 1973.
A collation of the original albums interwoven with Jackie's own personal stories and recollections, COLLAGE is a dramatic re-telling of a 'rocket ship' decade in Formula One racing.
With a Foreword by His Serene Highness Albert II, Sovereign Prince of Monaco, only 1,500 individually numbered books will be created in Scotland by craft bookbinders, each one hand-signed by Sir Jackie Stewart.
A complimentary DVD is included in each copy of the COLLAGE edition.
The disc will be found in the inside back cover of your book and includes a short video story by Lady Helen Stewart, an audio visual montage of friends and peers speaking about Sir Jackie, and a music video for "Fly Free" - a single written and recorded by Paul and Mark Stewart in their father's honour, featuring Eric Clapton.
