#Ferrari 312PB. #motoring #art The 1971 1000kms of Nurburgring and the Ferrari 312PB driven by Jacky Ickx and Clay Regazzoni. "Out of the Red" by John Ketchell The pair put the car on pole with a time of 7:36.1 but unfortunately did not finish due to overheating problems. The race was won by Vic Elford and Gérard Larrousse driving the Porsche 908/03. Today I have this great original poster for the 1969 race at Montjuïc. It seems that, like yesterdays race, it was another dull Spanish Grand Prix. Jackie Stewart won, finishing two laps ahead of second placed Bruce McLaren! The race was held here again in 1971 - Jackie Stewart took his third straight victory. This time by only 3 seconds from Jackie Ickx Ferrari. This race was the first Formula One race to use slick tyres (Firestones).
