"Night Vision" (Ferrari 512) by John Ketchell

Image
The 1970 Le Mans 24 hours is immortalized in the the Steve McQueen film "Le Mans". Much of the film footage was taken from this race. It rain heavily throughout the night, and it was the first time the traditional "Le Mans start", in which the drivers run across the track to enter their cars, was replaced by a variant in which the drivers already sat in their cars. Porsche won for the first time. "Night Vision" by John Ketchell shows the Ferrari 512S entered by N.A.R.T. in the Coda Lunga version for Sam Posey and Ronnie Bucknum charging through the heavy rain and darkness to eventually finish 4th overall and first of the 11 entered Ferrari 512S. Original: Acrylics on Canvas. 40" x 30" Limited Edition Prints also available.
