#poster #f1 #motoring Won by Jim Clark for Lotus by over a minute after leading from pole position to the finish. Tony Maggs was second for Cooper and Graham Hill third for BRM. Clark also took fastest lap (2:21.6). Jim Clark went on to win 7 of the 10 races that season and be crowned World Champion. Here we have an original poster for the event. Officially named: 49e Grand Prix de l'A.C.F. Michel Beligond (1927-1973) produced yet another stunning piece of artwork for this poster. #motoring #antique #art Georges Boillot (1884-1916) driving his No. 22 Peugeot L76 to victory in the 1912 French Grand Prix. Depicted below in this wonderful hand-coloured pochoir lithograph by M. Campion dating from the period. Campion was one of many artists working for the great Ernest Montaut Studio in Paris. Original hand-coloured pochoir lithograph, 1912. Boillot's Peugeot was the first motorcar in the world to have an engine with two overhead camshafts and four valves per cylinder. The following year he became the first driver to win the race twice. Georges Boillot (1884-1916) With the outbreak of WW1 Boillot  joined the new French Air Force. During this time he won the Croix de Guerre and the Legion d'Honneur. On April 21, 1916 his plane was shot down in a dogfight over Verdun-sur-Meuse, although he survived this he was badly injured and died soon after in hospital.
