Belgian Grand Prix 1954 Spa-Francorchamps

The latest vintage poster to arrive at the gallery is this fantastic piece of promotion for the 1954 Belgian Grand Prix.

After 36 laps of 14.1km (old) Spa-Francorchamps circuit and 2¾ hours of racing Juan Manuel Fangio brought his Maserati home to victory from Pole position.Nino Farina (Ferrari) qualified third but retired on lap 14 with a blown engine having given Fangio a hard race for the lead. Why is this worth a mention? He had his arm in plaster!! Following a crash in the Mille Miglia.
