12 Heures de Paris 1948
The 1948 12 Heures de Paris was a sports car race held at L'autodrome de Linas-Montlhéry, France on 12th September. 112 laps and 870 miles later Luigi Chinetti and Lord Selsdon emerged as victors driving a Ferrari 166 Spyder.
Each competitor was awarded a competitors plaque. This example (below) was given to Henri Louveau who together with Robert Brunet finished second driving his Delage D6-3L (No. 14).
The plaques featured wonderful Geo Ham artwork, had a polished bronze finish (not shown very well in the above scan) and were made from a casting by Marx, Paris.
