The Alfa Romeo 158/159, also known as the Alfetta was one of the most successful racing cars ever produced. It won it's first race in 1938 and was still winning in 1953!
In "Four Ever Alfa" by Sheridon Davies the team cars are seen in the paddock at the British Grand Prix in May 1950 where they took the first three places. Giuseppe Farina (No.2) won, Luigi Fagioli (No.3) 2nd and British guest driver Reg Parnell (No.4) 3rd. Car No.1 driven by Juan Manuel Fangio retired.
Farina went on to win the first Drivers' World Championship in 1950. Fangio and Fagioli took second and third places.
