The Bugatti T51 of Achille Varzi (No.10) and the Alfa Romeo Monza of Baconin Borzacchini blast away from the start of the 1933 Monaco Grand Prix. Varzi was to win the race, with Borzacchini second 2 minutes behind. These were the only two cars to complete 100 laps, that's almost three and a half hours of racing around the streets of Monaco! The 1933 Monaco Grand Prix was the first GP at which practice times decided the starting grid. Before this it was decided by ballot...
