Archie Scott Brown - Lister Jaguar

The Last Race - Spa Grand Prix May 19th 1958.
A tribute to one of the greatest racing drivers. Battling hard with Mastern Gregory driving the Ecurie Ecosse Lister Jaguar, they swapped the lead between them inches apart. The competition was so fierce that Archie dented his cars' nose on the rear of the Ecosse car on lap three. With Archie leading on lap six they arrived at the Seaman bend to find the track slick with rain, the right hand front wheel of Archies Lister hit a road sign snapping the track rod causing a disasterous accident - this great driver died from his injuires the next day.

This sculpture is strictly limited to 9 castings, and available from Historic Car Art.
